  What is a webinar? A webinar is a technical presentation we give to your members without having us at your meeting location. We take advantage of the availability of broadband internet service at your meeting location to do this. We do a live presentation just for your user group meeting from our office in Utah.

Are webinars effective? We've given dozens of live webinars to user group audiences over the past year and attendees found them not only interesting to see, but very informative as well. Your audience can see and hear our presenter just as if he were at the meeting location. Likewise, our presenter can see and hear your members and answer their questions. In addition, presentation materials can be seen by your audience as well as live demonstrations of our technical products. It's just as effective as our being there in person.

Are webinars easy to do? The technology to do a webinar is very easy to do. We have developed simple instructions to help you host a webinar from us. We also hold a short trial session of your webinar a few days before your meeting, so that your officers know what to expect and be ready to work with us. Almost any member of your user group can assist us to host a webinar just for your group.

What is needed for a webinar? The only real requirement to host a webinar for your group is access to broadband internet service at your meeting location. If you have this, then you are almost ready to go. In addition, there is a free utility program, Skype, that needs to be downloaded and installed on your computer to let us communicate with your computer. A webcam at your end with a built in microphone is also handy to have available. Other than that, the requirements are what your group would normally have -- a computer, a video projector, a sound system, etc.

What else do we provide for a webinar? We also send your group a package of materials to make your webinar complete. This package includes handouts, a door prize to give away, and products to sell at great discounts. This is our Webinar in a Box package.

We offer two types of webinars. To give you the most flexibility in your use of our webinars, we offer you two webinar options to pick from:

  • Our normal webinar option is an hour long presentation that includes our full webinar service. We offer 2-3 important webinar topics to choose from. We train a volunteer in your group to coordinate the webinar from your end. We will do a full presentation, demonstration, and Q&A session for your group. We send your group our Webinar in a Box package to include handouts, door prizes, etc. This is our best webinar option and the one you should pick first. It would be used as the main event at your monthly meeting.
     
  • Our mini-webinar option is a short 15 minute webinar on a technical topic of interest. This is a short fill-in to your normal meeting topic. We will offer new topics every few months, so have us back often to add to your meeting interest. Another reason for a mini-webinar is to hold a Q&A session on products that were presented in a full webinar the month before. Your members that purchased our products may have questions as they start to install and use them. This is a great follow-on to one of our normal webinar session.

What do you need to do to get started? All you need to do to request a webinar for your user group is to fill out the form below and submit it. Our webinar coordinator, Linda Barlow, will contact you to make the final arrangements with you. Then as we get nearer to your webinar date, she will contact you to arrange a trial session and will mail you our Webinar in a Box package. So, don't delay. Signup now for your webinar.

Webinars can only be arranged by groups that have registered with us for our support. If your group has not yet register with us, please complete the User Group Registration Form before submitting a webinar request.
